A tremendously high pressure of water is sent up the sewer and/or stormwater line using varied pressure cutting heads which pulverise root growth, breaks up sludge and debris, penetrates grease, and flushes out the line.
It is highly recommended to have your lines cleared every 6 - 12 months (depending on your location and tree growth surrounding your home) to keep the root growth and build up of sludge to a minimum. This prevents emergency blockages and unexpected emergencies.
A drain camera takes the guess work out of sewer and stormwater repairs. Upon clearing a stubborn line with a high pressure water jet cleaner, a drain camera can be used to locate the source of the problem if the jet cleaner has not released the blockage. This ensures we can see clearly the issue at hand and them work to determine a cost effective solution. The drain camera image can determine whether drain maintenance is the appropriate follow up or possibly excavation is required.
The pipe locator used in conjunction with the drain camera is used to pin-point the exact location of the blockage. Pin-pointing problems can save time and money by preventing excavation in the wrong location. Excavation is always a last resort once all other options have been tried and assessed.

- Somehow our kitchen sink had become blocked, considerably blocked. We have a plunger in the house so my husband gave it a go but it just wouldn't budge. This was going to be a tricky job to fix ourselves. We gave Drainmaster plumbing and hot water a call later on that day to come and clean out our blocked sink. They found the time to come the next day which was just perfect. The kind member of staff explained that with such a blockage it would have to cleaned out with a high pressure jet. He quoted a fair price and we were more than happy to hand the job over to them. They did a wonderful job and left my kitchen clean and tidy.
